How do I improve my open or click rate?
There are many ways you can improve your open & click rates depending on many factors like:
- the industry you are in
- your efforts to write enticing subject lines
- avoidance of SPAMMY content
- effective campaign design
- Subject should be 30-50 characters in length
- Subject should not contain excessive punctuation or capitalization
- Subject should not be misleading
- Message Content should be a mix of Text and Images. Usually a 65/35 ratio is recognized as good industry practice
- Avoid using spam trigger words, search google for “spam words to avoid in emails”
- Use original URL’s, do not use URL shorteners
- Ensure URLs are linking to reputable websites
- Make sure you use a registered domain, not AOL, GMAIL, Hotmail, etc. as the From Address
- Setup an SPF record for your registered domain
- Setup DKIM for your sending address domain.
- Use Personalization in your email whenever possible
