How do I clear my browser or my cookies cache?

Clearing your cookies and cache is a frequent troubleshooting tactic to get rid of old data being displayed on your browser. RedCappi uses cookies to track your account activity and your browser cache stores information to make sure pages load quickly, but occasionally these need to be cleared out. To clear cache, look in the Internet Options or Preferences area of your browser along with your cookies, history, etc.

Specific Browser Resources:

1. Firefox (http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Deleting cookies)

  • Here’s how you clear the cache from Firefox:
    • On the menu bar, click on the Firefox menu and select Preferences.
    • Select the Advanced panel.
    • Click on the Network tab.
    • In the Offline Storage section, click Clear Now.
    • Close the Preferences window and you’re done.

2. Internet Explorer (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Delete-temporary-Internet-files)

  • IE 8
    • If you are trying to clear cache from Internet Explorer 8, use the following steps:
      • Click on the Tools menu and then select Internet Options.
      • You should be in the General tab section.
      • In the Browsing Internet section, click the Delete button. In the pop up that appears, select the areas that you want to delete information from (like your cache or temporary internet files) and hit delete. It might take a few minutes to process.
  • IE 9
    • If you are trying to clear cache from Internet Explorer 9, you’ll need to:
      • Go to Tools > Safety > Delete browsing history…

      • You’ll get a confirmation message when your cache and cookies have been cleared.
